This live webinar provides an overview of some of the important changes and clarifications that have been made to the 2005 editions of these standards.  Changes to the Specification that will be highlighted appear in the scope, composite design, and bolted connection design sections. There are new chapters on quality assurance and quality control, as well as design by inelastic analysis. The Code has several modifications, including a major revision of Section 3.1.2 on connection design delegation. The Specification for Structural Joints covers the design of bolted joints and the installation and inspection of fastener assemblies in structural steel connections. Revisions in the 2010 edition will be addressed.
