Ruby Named Michigan SE of the Year

David Ruby, P.E., S.E., has been named the 2010 Structural Engineer of the Year by the Structural Engineers Association of Michigan. Ruby is a nationally recognized pioneer in constructability and founder of Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Ruby + Associates. Early in his career, Ruby was the structural project manager for Chicago’s John Hancock Building and the Sears Tower. He is the author of AISC’s Steel Design Guide 23: Constructability of Structural Steel Buildings, published in 2009 and available at www.aisc.org/epubs.
