The American Society of Civil Engineers invites nominations for its 2011 Charles Pankow Award for Innovation. The award was established in 1996 to recognize innovative design, materials, or construction-related research and development, that have been sustainably transferred into practice. There is a $75 entry fee and the competition is open to both ASCE members and non-members.
The Pankow Award winner will receive a trophy at the 2011 Outstanding Projects And Leaders Gala, a premiere black-tie event held annually in the Washington, D.C. area. Winners also receive publicity through various ASCE publications.
Nominations are due October 1, 2010. For more information, visit the Pankow Award page.
